Another CHA project

Diane asked all the design team to make a pop-up card. Say no more, cards are not my thing. Had a go and quite liked the finished project. I have fallen in love with Graphic 45's new embellishments especially the packaging. I used one of them on the front of my card to make a display box and then was able to add 3d pieces. The pop-up bit consists of two pieces, the frame/window in the back and the man hanging. He hangs out quite a bit, almost to the middle of the card and I just love the image.

I have a lot more to share so please check back in a few days. Going off to set up for our all day scrap tomorrow.

Thanks for looking

Sharing Time

Graphic 45 have some of my work and Gloria's on the blog, so I will share some more creations with you all. This is a layout I did for Diane, using her Steampunk collection. As soon as I saw the paper with the ladys head, I knew I wanted to do it on her. I would love to know how her brain works and where all the creativity comes from. I have used to the butterflies to give the idea of creativity flowing from her free. The roses have been done paper tole style, this means I needed 5-7 of each rose to build them up.
Candy my design team leader made this amazing dress form, so much detail on so smaller figure. There are more photo's of her work on the Graphic 45 Blog.
The Hot Air Balloon is from Jenny, who makes amazing creations too. Again so much detail added to this master piece. More photo's of her work on the Graphic 45 Blog as well.

Thanks for looking will share more photos of my other projects later.

I'm on Graphic 45's blog

Wow just checked out Graphic 45's blog and found two of my projects there. The Book (Halloween in Wonderland) and Layout on Diane the founder of Graphic 45 at the top are mine. I have taken photos of the inside of the mini book and will post them on the Graphic 45 Ning site as soon as we are allowed to. The other Album and Cards are from Gloria another of my talent sisters at Graphic 45. Her work is just amazing and I love all the details she does on her work.
Thanks again
Jane

What's New

So much has been going on in my life over the past few weeks. I got my box from Graphic 45, full of new papers and embellishments. I was so excited and couldn't wait to play. I had to control myself as it was Friday morning and I was teaching. I had a late night scrap that night as well. Saturday found me teaching two classes. I ending up taking my box home Saturday night with half the shop, so I had ribbons, stamps, inks, and more to play with. The idea was to get as much done over the weekend ready to send to the States Tuesday morning so it would arrive in time for a dear friend to take it all in her suitcase to CHA for me. I ended up doing a Halloween in Wonderland Layout and mini book, a Steampunk Layout and mini book and a Steampunk pop-up card. VERY HAPPY with how it all turned out. I can do show and tell next week after the show. If you are in the States and attending the show then let me know what you think. I know Diane from Graphic 45 has my final entry for the design team at the show as well. I am loving all the new ranges from Graphic 45. It just gets better and better and I am loving my time with them.
We have our all day scrap this Saturday at the shop and are flat out cutting kits and packing all the bits and pieces we need. Not to mention cooking all the delectables for morning tea and lunch. We have 75 ladies joining us for an amazingly fun and enjoyable not to mention creative day.
Will hopefully post again soon.

Unity Stamps Blog Swap

Here is a page I did for Graphic 45's Unity Stamp Swap. The Stamps I received were quite modern and I wasn't sure where to go with them! So I did what I normally do, and chose some papers which look great together with a lightly pattern paper to stamp on. What next? well when I'm not sure where I am going with a layout, I fall back on the square in with a square layout. It never fails. So choosing one of the stamps to create a border on my page, I stamped it and embossed it with fine embossing powder. This makes the stamped image black and shiny, but as its fine embossing powder its not too heavy. Then I painted the flowers using Smooch Peralized Accent inks. I love these inks, the colours are brilliant and strong. You don't need too much ink and a water colour or aqua brush is a must. A small amount of ink on a damp brush is all you need.

Don't you love the heart chipboard shape, this is one my son Josh did for me. I used another stamp for the tag. One of the stamps is a journaling block so I used that. Ribbon, lace and tulle and I'm finished and really love the layout.

Sorry about not updating for so so long!

I have been tearing my hair out, what with stock taking my store and getting classes ready, teaching at Mt Gambier and sorting out what to teach at the all day scrap. I just ran out of time to update my blog. So here is an update the first of three I need to do in the next couple of days to catch up. So here is the first update.
I did a class at Mt Gambier for the ladies there. It was the travel page I did for Graphic 45
For some of the ladies it was their first scrapbooking page and they did extremely well. I took my son Josh with me. He does a lot of the chipboard designs I use in my projects for me. He is great and enjoys sharing his artistic abilities with other people. The Lovely Ladies at Scrapbooking Anonymous have asked me to teach again and to bring Josh with me! I will be sharing more of his work on my blog, so keep in touch.

PS will post some cards tomorrow and the layout I did for the Graphic 45 Unity Stamp blog Swap.
